This question applies to you whether you are a UK National or not.

At any time since the 1st September 2010 has either of your parents, step parents, guardians, husband, wife, partner or civil partner lived or worked outside the UK and Islands, or in the case of an EU, EEA or Swiss National, outside the EEA or Switzerland? *

The EEA countries are:
The 27 EU countries of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom
plus the countries of Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein.

For UK and Islands:
The islands referred to here are the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
